Enhance your applications: write CVs, cover letters and application forms that count

Sunday 14th July 1:15 - 3:45, West Oxford Community Centre

In this masterclass session, we’ll build you a toolkit of practical techniques to enhance your CVs, cover letters and application forms that can be used in any industry or field.

Interactive exercises throughout the workshop aim to build your confidence as well just as your application skills. We’ll focus on the rationale behind techniques, and learn to judge for ourselves where CVs, cover letters and application forms need enhancement.

We’ll look at examples, but you won’t receive a ‘template’ to copy. Instead you’ll learn the techniques that I use as a careers adviser, which enable you to enhance any document you’re working on. These are skills that can grow with your career, and in every application you make.

Improve your interview technique

Sunday 21st July 1:15 - 3:45, West Oxford Community Centre

In this masterclass session, you’ll gain techniques and insight to help you feel more confident and be more effective in an interview scenario.

You’ll learn about strategies to improve your interview preparation, different techniques for answering different types of interview question, but the key part of this course is the chance to practice some of these skills in a safe space. We’ll work in small groups to try out interview techniques and receive constructive, structured feedback from fellow participants. We’ll identify obstacles to success and consider solutions (including looking into managing ‘interview nerves’).

The masterclass will be interactive and participatory, with time for reflection and discussion. The aim is that you’ll go away with new techniques to try, and improved interview confidence to go with them.

Price - £45
