As a graduate of the University of Oxford, I began my career within university admissions and access (supporting the aspirations of school-age pupils) before moving to work with educational non-profits in training and liaision roles.

In 2011 I followed my interest in supporting individuals to develop and feel successful and moved to work as Careers Adviser at the University of Oxford, where I worked for nearly 5 years. During this time I completed my postgraduate diploma in Careers Education, Information and Guidance in HE, including a transformational 'Advanced Guidance' residential training module which added so much to my practice. During this period I also set up a 3 month 'job swap' with a Career Counsellor at the University of California, Berkeley: a fantastic experience which added a variety of counselling skills and models to my work. In 2015 moved to manage the Careers Consultancy team at the University of Reading (although still seeing a caseload of clients), where I've worked before my maternity leave in 2018.

My background gives me particularly strong experience in:

I'm keen to support those who do not have access to career counselling and guidance otherwise, and willing to discuss discounted rates for those who require them through my community practice.

Simply get in touch and we can discuss how I might be able to support your needs.
